All school property assigned to a student can be searched by the Principal, or a person designated by her, if there is reason to believe a student is hiding evidence of an illegal item, items prohibited by regulation, or items which may be used to disrupt or interfere with the educational process. This is for the protection of students and school employees. Lockers, desks, and any other storage areas at the school remain in the possession and control of the school even though they are made available or assigned for student use.
To protect the health and safety of persons and property in the school, students shall not keep any of the following items on their person or in their desk:
- Firearms
- Stolen property
- Alcohol
- Poison
- Drugs
- Explosives
- Knives
- Materials or devices which endanger the safety of persons or property of others
