Tuition assistance will again be provided to St. John the Baptist Parish members in the following manner.* Applicants must use the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to apply for assistance. The Archdiocese of Portland will use the same FACTS information for their annual awards. Applications are available in the school office or you can apply on line (www.factstuitionaid.com). The application fee is $20. Please call the Business Manager if you are unable to pay the $20.
A few facts regarding the tuition assistance program:
- Tuition assistance is available to anyone with children in grades Kindergarten (K) through eight (8) and who are registered members of St. John the Baptist Parish or a Parish in the Archdiocese without a school.
- Tuition assistance is given on the basis of need as determined by FACTS calculations. Any extenuating circumstances should be noted on your FACTS application.
- The process for granting tuition assistance will include consideration of the status of delinquent accounts from previous years. All outstanding tuition should be paid to date, or if on a payment plan, must be current.
- Completed applications must be returned to FACTS by March 3, 2008 to apply for the next year. Awards are usually determined by the end of June. You can apply later, but you will miss the deadline for the Archdiocesan awards.
- We do have a limited amount of emergency financial assistance available. If emergencies arise, please contact the Business Manager for more information.
If you need further information, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL the school office at 503-654-0200.
