Our Philosophy
St. John's strives to ensure each and every student reaches their full potential. We are committed to helping our students become successful lifelong learners who embrace the future with courage, creativity, and a strong faith foundation.
Academic Success
Through constant monitoring, we ensure the students' academic needs are met. Weekly progress reports, trimester report cards, parent-teacher conferences, standardized testing, and curricula assessment three times throughout the year ensure the academic success of our students. Our graduates are well-prepared for the high schools of their choice.
Community Spirit
At St. John's, we share our Catholic faith through our involvement in community. Individual classrooms and the student council sponsor a variety of service projects focusing on local and community needs.

How to help
with the St. John the Baptist School Auction
While the auction committee is in the process of pulling together great auction items from community sponsors, history has proven that most of our highest earning auction packages come from St. John’s families and friends like you. We hope you will help us again this year through your very generous donations to this important school event.
Here’s what we are asking: Each school family is expected to contribute $150 in donations. This does not mean you have to go out and buy things, rather we suggest you seek donations. But don’t consider a $150 a cap. The more donations we receive, the more we can sell at auction, the larger the benefit to the school. Help us make this event spectacular with an outstanding range of items. There are so many ways for your family to contribute:
- Ask your employer to make a product or cash contribution, or to purchase an ad for our catalog. See the advertising information link on this page.
- Ask friends and family members who own businesses for a donation. Nothing is too small as items will often be packaged together with other items.
- For those local businesses you support, ask for a donation of support in return, such as gourmet grocery certificates, restaurants, sporting goods, specialty clothing, jewelry, spas, toy stores – the list is limited only by your imagination.
- Do you or someone you know have a second home you could donate for a week or a long weekend? These are some of our best and time honored donations.
- Do you have a special talent you could share, e.g., knitting, fused glass making, painting, tiling, woodworking, or jewelry craft? A time and talent donation to one of our school projects would be so appreciated.
- Are you a gourmet cook? Want to donate a fabulous dinner by teaming up with friends to help host a great evening? Our dinners are some of our bestselling items.
- Do you have connections to hotels, restaurants, maybe an airline or miles? Help us put together some out of town trips!
The purpose of the SJB auction is to . . .
SUPPORT our children
by raising money to enrich vital school programs and services;
STRENGTHEN our school
and family relationships by sharing in a process of planning and stewardship;
BUILD our community
by gathering together plan and then share in the enjoyment of an evening of friendship and fun
The success of the auction depends on us all.
